Camp Information
Good As Gold Sport Horses, llc has a small herd of well-schooled horses, carefully selected for their suitability for riders of all levels. While campers are enjoying the fun of riding and learning, parents can be assured that this activity is under qualified and careful supervision. Our safety record is second to none.
Campers of all ages and abilities enjoy riding and eagerly look forward to the hours they spend with the horses.
Riding lessons will be in one of the grass arenas, while horsemanship and farm management skills are taught in the barn and farm yard. By following the instruction of the riding counselors, your child will discover how easy it is to walk, trot and canter properly and with confidence. More advanced riders will learn jumping and barrel racing fundamentals.
In addition to riding, campers will learn about other farm animals and their needs and uses.
Campers will also learn fun arts and crafts with materials found on a farm! As well as games!
Additional Camper Information
Campers should dress for the weather, this may include a light jacket, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. We are hanging out on a working farm and safety is first so campers are required to wear long pants and a close toed shoe (boots are best but sneakers will work as well). The farm does have some helmets available, however to insure the best fit we ask that campers bring a bike helmet if they do not have an approved riding helmet.
Campers should bring drink(s) (we can refill bottles with water and ice as needed) and pack a lunch and any additional snacks campers would like to have. On the final day of camp we will have a BBQ lunch with hot dogs and hamburgers.
Registration is open until 1 week prior to the start of requested camp session (If you have missed this deadline please ask about openings).
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required with paperwork submission for camp sessions. (Paperwork can be emailed and deposit payed through the farms PayPal or Venmo)
