Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential learning approach that promotes the development of life skills applicable to educational, professional, or personal goals through equine assisted activities. These activities may incorporate equines in three distinct nontherapy services: equine-assisted learning in education, equine-assisted learning in organizations, and equine-assisted learning in personal development. Here at Good as Gold Farms we offer nontherapy equine-assisted learning in personal development with a Life Coach who incorporates an equine to assist in promoting self-improvement. We currently do not provide physical therapy, psychotherapy, or counseling in our EAL program as our services do not provide the relief or healing of a diagnosed mental health disorder. However, participants can have a therapeutic experience with our horses as they overcome emotional, social, and/or behavioral barriers keeping them from reaching their results. Horses offer participants a non-judgmental approach to identifying and working through their own mental blocks.
A psychotherapeutic component will be COMING SOON!
Most EAL sessions are done on an individual basis. Each session involves a horse interaction facilitated by a professional or the professional team. The team can be comprised of an equine specialist and a professional and/or a duly-qualified professional. A duly-qualified professional will have both expertise in working with horses and training in human behavior and development. Lessons are often ground work but can include a mounted component. Lesson goals currently being offered focus on developing various life skills consisting of emotion regulation, problem-solving, coping skills, healthy and positive communication skills, and relationship building. Although participants can learn horsemanship skills through these sessions, it is usually not the primary goal.
Pricing is offered either per session or discounts given for packages of 4 or more sessions.
Individual sessions are $55
Packages of 4-6 receive a 10% discount
Packages of 7 or more receive a discount of 15%
